Well, it is an easy concept. People still manage to get it all wrong, though. This is especially true when they focus only on the price difference.
Everyone loves to pay less. It’s good on the budget, after all. Will greater quality come with the lower price, though? Maybe, maybe not. Several factors affect the overall quality of the job. We’ll go over two critical ones below:

In most cases, this will be worth it. You may end up paying for the experienced crew in the end. What kind of extra services would they be providing you, if any? Will the old paint be stripped off before new paint is applied? What brand of paint will they be using? How many coats of paint do they plan to apply? Will your floor and furniture be protected from dropped paint? Will they clean up any spills that might occur? If all you get is the basic one-coat job you may find your new paint peeling before the year’s out. And if a spill occurs and they don’t clean it up, you could get stuck with that.
You should always look deeper than the price tag when shopping for a painting estimate. If the price is lower than what you expected, you should suspect that the quality might also be lower than you expect. Thrift is great, but don’t sacrifice quality for it.
When getting a paint estimate, always make sure the contractor provides references of prior work he’s done. Before making your decision, know everything you can about every contractor quoting you.
