The Takagi T-K3 is the tankless water heater that delivers 258 gallons per hour of hot water – every hour! No tank to run out means an endless supply of water for a house, a business or anywhere a constant source of hot water is needed.
The Takagi TK3 tankless gas water heater, taking up only 2.2 cubic feet of space, is about the size of a suitcase. This allows for installation in spaces with limited area or in locations closer to the point of use. This results in reduced travel-time through pipes. Remarkable decrease in wastage of water and energy.
No storage tank to clog with deposits and rust. No pilot light to waste gas. The computer-modulated burners in T-K3 water heaters efficiently utilize gas only when required. Due to cost affectivity and best performance, the T-K3 hot water heater is getting space in the international market.
Reduced flow rates of about 0.5 gallons per minute in Takagi TK3 results in less water circulation in bathroom sinks and showers. This reduces water waste and allows for stable temperatures. The T-K3 water heaters are available in different varieties and specifications with the ability to handle water flow ranging from 0.5 – 7.0 gallons per minute, with the heating capacity between 11,000 to 199,000 BTU, the computerized system of T-K3 consists of sophisticated circuits and sensors which technically handle temperature, demand and flow of water. Water heating system- best technology handled with care to maximize efficiency.
Takagi comes with an easy link technology that allows up to three units to be installed in parallel with one control box, this result in better flow rate at minimized cost.
The Takagi TK3 tankless water heater can be easily converted into a direct vent model for inside installations that need to import combustion air from outside.
Instead of the usual four settings, the T-K3 offers eight separate temperatures, set by dip-switch: 104 degree F, 113 degree F, 122 degree F, 131 degree F, 140 degree F, 158 degree F, 176 degree F, and 185 degree F. Requirement for a separate remote control with such flexibilities is useless.
Takagi T-K3 comes with a longer vent pipe, 50 feet with five elbows rather than 35 feet with three elbows.
Takagi has packaged great facilities in to this new product. Since it facilitates larger flow rate using parallel connections, it can easily manage hot water demands for residential and commercial applications. In short, the T-K3 fills the gap between the single residential heater and multiple commercial T-M1 units. The temperature of underground water directly effects the performance of T-K3, in warm areas the flow rate is better as compared to colder areas: let’s consider warm areas at a delta T of 60 degrees F, if the ground water temperature is 60 degrees F with the output set at 122 degrees F – the T-K3 will provide 5.4 Gallons Per Minute, or 324 Gallons Per Hour. There is a reduction in flow rate of about 4.1 GPM, or 246 GPH, in colder areas where the input temperature may be 40 degrees F or less.
Takagi products are manufactured with high quality materials for longer life and reliability. Steel burners, water tubes made of copper or brass and epoxy powder coating leads to rust resistant body, durability and great efficiency.
Since heating starts when water is used, so there is no need of holding tanks, hence waste of energy is minimized. In Takagi T-K3 gas water heater, the utility cost is almost 50% reduced with the use of computerized electric ignition system instead of pilot light.
Several safety features are incorporated in this unit with the help of advanced circuits and sensors that monitors different functionalities like gas levels, water levels, over or under heating and freeze conditions.
In T-K3 (TK3) there is an added facility available in the form of heating blocks that prevents freezing which is quite risky for the heat exchanger. The T-K3 also ignites automatically, without the water flow, to prevent freezing the heat exchanger as well.
With the use of energy efficient tankless water heater the cost of your annual energy bills can be reduced considerably. No need of storage tanks to maintain hot water round the clock, no energy losses. Just heat the water that you need, only when you need it!
