Although we didn’t evaluation the 32- or 37-inch members of Vizio’s E0VL string of LCD TVs–the E320VL and E370VL–we did evaluate the 47-inch E470VL, and believe that evaluate will offer some indication of how these smaller types will execute.
The spec sheets of two scaled-down versions differ from the greater, respectively, when it comes to native resolution (the lesser types are one,366×768 pixels, or 720p, and also the more substantial are 1,920×1,080 pixels, or 1080p) response time (5ms vs. 8ms), refresh price (60Hz vs. 120Hz), and linked dejudder processing. Among these differences, we suspect that only refresh charge will influence photo good quality in a considerable way. For that reason, the Video clip Processing segment from the assessment with the E320VL won’t apply towards the smaller designs. Native resolution is just not essential for video clip sources in this case, but will have an impact on the PC performance of your lesser displays.
Alternatively the 32- and 37-inch members in the collection do have the similar contrast ratio and viewing angle specifications, in addition to identical shade controls, so we expect the other components in the Performance portion with the E470VL review to offer a good indication of how the E320VL and E370VL will carry out.
In terms of characteristics the smaller designs also have fewer HDMI inputs HDMI inputs (two vs. three) and lack picture-in-picture along with a USB input.
Inexpensive for a 120Hz LCD; exceptional color in shiny locations; video processing handles 1080p/24 appropriately; matte screen functions effectively in shiny lighting; solid image adjustment alternatives.
Amongst the least costly 120Hz LCDs accessible, the Vizio E0VL set delivers a decent photograph but falls a bit short of competitors.
Like most TV makers, Vizio gives a wide range of characteristics at diverse cost points. The E0VL sequence reviewed here lacks the web and LED backlight selections of your company’s flagship XVT3 collection, but its spec sheet and value tag hold the actual appeal–it’s one of the least costly TVs in the marketplace with 120Hz processing. However the Vizio’s downsides, namely lighter black levels and less-impressive performance when viewed from off-angle, give us some pause when comparing it with other non-LED-based 120Hz LCDs. But in the event you want this characteristic set and do not mind a couple of sacrifices, the Vizio E0VL makes a powerful value-driven argument.
Series information: We performed a hands-on evaluation with the 47-inch Vizio E470VL, but this evaluation also applies to two other display sizes in the collection: the 42-inch E420VL along with the 55-inch E550VL. All three measurements have identical specs and, according for the manufacturer, must supply very comparable picture excellent. You will find also two scaled-down dimensions in Vizio’s E0VL collection, the 32-inch E320VL and the 37-inch E370VL, to which this review does not apply
